Seal refurbishment is an area where Chenderit are highly
skilled.
The refurbishment or remanufacturing process is a very cost effective option
when expensive mechanical seals need repair or replacement.
All
seals sent for refurbishment are cleaned thoroughly using ultrasonics and
chemicals, then glass blasted before being rigorously examined for wear,
cracks and any other defects.
Any components not up to standard are reconditioned or replaced - where
spares are not available we have the facilities to manufacture many metallic
and carbon parts in house, with hard faces such as silicon or tungsten being
produced by our specialist associates. In this way even seals for long obsolete
equipment can be maintained in service, or converted in our workshops to
use up to date components.
